Daniel Burkholder (Collaborating Artist) is a dancer, improviser, teacher and Artistic Director of The PlayGround, a movement-based improvisational group. His work has been shown throughout DC and the MidAtlantic States, New York City and San Francisco. He has collaborated with Sharon Mansur since 1992, and their most recent appearance was performing the improvisational duet Present Tense at Winona State University, MN in February 2007.

Kitty Clark (Performing Artist) is a modern dancer, choreographer, educator, and producer based in Shepherdstown, WV, in the state's eastern panhandle. Over the last 10 years, she has spearheaded many projects that have aimed to make contemporary dance and performance accessible to a broader audience. Kitty is the founder/director of the Goose Route Arts Collaborative, Inc. which produces the Goose Route Dance Festival every July in Shepherdstown and through which she teaches dance to adults and children. Kitty also teaches dance at Shepherd University. Kitty was recently named the 2006 winner of the Governor's Award for Arts Innovator in the state of WV. She holds a Master of Fine Arts degree in dance from Smith College. Kitty has collaborated with Sharon Mansur since 1994.

Todd Clark (Video Production/Photography) is the Founding Producer of ONANON Productions, an independent, Emmy award winning video production and multi-media services company and has worked with mansurdance since 2003. 

Catherine Eliot (Lighting Designer) has created lighting designs in Washington, DC and New York City for the past fifteen years, including work at Dance Place and The Kennedy Center, St. Mark's in the Bowery, Baltimore Theatre Project, Corcoran Gallery of Art, and University Settlement. She is a movement therapist, dance teacher, and Certified Laban/Bartenieff Movement Analyst. Catherine has worked with Sharon Mansur since 1992.

Maré Hieronimus  (Performing Artist) is Brooklyn-based multi-media dance artist, performer and teacher who has worked with Sharon Mansur/mansurdance since 2001. Maré was nominated for Outstanding Individual Performer in a Dance Piece/Production through the Metro DC Dance Awards for her work with Sharon in Still Life. Her own work has been performed in the Mid-Atlantic region at venues including Dance Place (DC), The Goose Route Dance Festival (WV), Villa Julie College (MD) Dixon Place (NYC), Brooklyn Arts Exchange, The Flea Theater (NYC), and The 92nd St. Y (NYC). In 2003 she was the recipient of an Individual Artist Award in Choreography through the Maryland State Arts Council for her multimedia work surfacing. She received her BFA in Painting from Rhode Island School of Design, her MFA in Dance from Sarah Lawrence College, and is a Certified Movement Analyst.  www.marehdance.com

 

Marcy Schlissel (Performing Artist) hails from DC and lives in NYC. Her recent fascination is her new business called body in motion pilates studio. Marcy's studio is a collective of like-minded artists that gather to teach pilates, gyrotonic, and yoga. She is currently working towards her gyrotonic certification and studying naam yoga. Her other interests and studies have included Laban movement, kundalini yoga, years of improvisation, salsa dance, Bartenieff Fundamentals, and post-modern dance techniques. Marcy has choreographed and shown her work through the DC area as well as in NYC. Her latest solo work included collaborations with composer Bob Lukomski. She is currently performing and collaborating with Maré Hieronimus. She has been performing with Sharon Mansur since 1996. www.bodyinmotionnyc.com


Ginger Wagg (Performing Artist)
is a Washington, DC based performing artist focused on improvisation and collaboration who is committed to bringing visibility to experimental multi-media performance by using alternative venues. She is the recipient of a 2005 Young Artist Grant from the DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities and has been nominated for two MetroDC Dance Awards. In addition to her collaborations with Jane Jerardi (DC) she performs with Daniel Burkholder/the PlayGround (DC) and Shua Group (NYC). Ginger is proud to have danced with sm/md since 2002.

Lucas Zarwell (Sound Designer) is a digital sound designer and composer who has performed and presented recorded and live works in the Washington, DC, New York and Baltimore areas.  His recent performances include the DC Sonics Circuits Electronic Music Festival and the Warehouse Next Door.  Other work includes music for Naoko Maeshiba, the NYC Fringe, Jane Jerardi/Maré Hieronimus, and being resident sound designer for DC's own in-your-face-theater company Cherry Red Productions.  Mr. Zarwell was nominated for Outstanding Sound Design at the 2003 and 2005 Metro DC Dance Awards.
