mansurdance acknowledges that that our work in Keoxa/Winona takes place on the ancestral and traditional lands of the Sauk (sock) and Meskwaki (muh skwaa kee), Wahpeton (wah’ peh ton), and Očeti Šakówiŋ (oh-chey’-tee  shah’-koh-ween). These and the surrounding nations remain the protectors of the land on which we stand today.

We recognize that colonial settlers took this land through predatory treaties, and honor the histories of this land before colonization. mansurdance commits to going beyond a statement and is investing in continued efforts to acknowledge and support Indigenous artists and community members.

Some Indigenous organizations and artists mansurdance is following and supporting:
Dakota Wicohan/The Dakota Way of Life

Indigenous Food Lab
Emily Johnson/Catalyst Dance
