What clients have said:
"..more than a massage, it's an experience!"

"I benefitted greatly from the work you do and have been thinking so differently about my shoulder and arm."

"There is great possibility for me…!"

 "You're like a massage whisperer!"

Sharon is dedicated to providing clients with skillful and intuitive touch, energetic healing and therapeutic movement facilitation in a supportive environment. Sharon’s sessions wholistically promote deep awareness, relaxation, therapeutic healing, growth and personal transformation.  She is a Certified Massage Therapist (CMT), Reiki Master Practitioner, Somatic Educator, CranioSacral Therapy (CST) practitioner and a Certified Movement Analyst (CMA) through the Laban/Bartenieff Institute of Movement Studies. Sharon also brings thirty years of embodied training and experience as a professional dance artist and educator to her bodywork practice and is a member of the national Associated Bodywork and Massage Professionals organization, www.abmp.com.

Note: Western based Somatics and therapeutic bodywork fields draw from many Indigenous practices that need to be recognized and honored more fully.  For a start with this acknowledgment, see Susan Raffo's blog post:

MASSAGE THERAPY
The classic restorative Swedish massage approach integrated with deep tissue as well as proprioceptive release and stretching techniques. To support therapeutic goals of softening adhesions, knots, and structural tension, while supporting neuromuscular system health, skeletal alignment and overall mental, emotional and physical function.  Sharon received her Certificate in Massage Therapy from the Minnesota State Southeast in 2016.

REIKI ENERGY HEALING
A Japanese originated gentle and non-invasive yet powerful hands-on mind/body/spirit energy technique. Reiki aids in restoring and balancing vital life energy, while promoting parasympathetic response, deep relaxation and self-healing.
Sharon is trained in Usui Reiki levels 1, 2 & 3 as has been practicing since 1998.

CRANIOSACRAL THERAPY

A gentle, hands on approach that releases tensions deep in the body to relieve pain and dysfunction and improv whole-body health and performance. Practitioners release restrictions in the soft tissues that surround the central nervous system.  By normalizing the environment around the brain and spinal cord and enhancing the body's ability to self-correct, CST is able to alleviate a wide variety of issues, from chronic pain and sports injuries to neurological impairment.  Sharon received her Certificate in Craniosacral Therapy from the Heartwood Institute of Integrated Medicine in 2020.

SOMATICS
Soma=“the body as perceived from within.”  Based on the mind/body awareness approach of Somatic pioneers Rudolph Laban and Irmgard Bartenieff, these are therapeutic sessions with hands-on movement techniques and simple sequences for neuromuscular re-education that:
·  Complements  many healing modalities
·  Supports injury recovery
·  Relieves pain, tension, stress
·  Improves flexibility, coordination, core strength, energy and mobility
Sharon has been embodying and practicing Somatics studies for over 30 years.
